This week’s blog you have a choice of two topics.
First choice, travel: Write about a place you have visited and let us know how you feel about that particular place. Who did you go with and what made it so special for you. Minimum 4 to 6 sentences.
Second choice, books: Many of you love to read. Write a review of a book you have read recently – within the last year. Give a short synopsis (summary). What did you like about the book, what did you dislike about the book. Who were the main characters? Did you identify with any of the character? If so, why?
Travel: I went to west Michigan. I went with my mom and my dad. I went and rode in the dunes. It was bumpy. We also went to Michigan adventures and it is small compared to cedar point.

Travel: Every year my family goes to visit my grandparents, on my mom’s side, cabin in Indian River, Michigan. We always have all my cousins and the whole family up there. I always feel like I never want to leave because we have so much fun! When were up in the winter, we snowmobile. In the summer, we ride our jet skis. It’s always such a special time because the whole family is there and we all spend time together and everyone enjoys themselves. I love going to the cabin and I can’t wait until the next time we all go!

A. Rodriguez An interesting book I read recently was the book crank. It was probably one of my favorite books. It was about a girl who goes through a very challenging addiction to meth, goes through very hard struggles, gets raped, and ends up having a child in the end. The book definitely isn’t for everyone to read, but it’s really good. If you like books like this, I recommend it to you, and you will probably like it a lot. The main character was a girl who nick named herself as Bree, but a guy named Chase is mentioned a lot, and so is the lifeguard guy. It felt like I did identify with some parts of the book. I have the tendency to do some stuff the way Bree had explained herself doing these things.
ReplyDeleteTravel: I've been a lot of places, but my favorite and most recent trip took place the last week before school. I rode with my family down to Cleveland, OH to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame And Museum. It was an interesting experience. While I was there I saw a lot of memorabilia from famous artist, some no longer around. I saw U2 in a 3D concert, which not many people can say they've done. Also, I was able to get on and look around Johnny Cash's tour bus.
ReplyDeleteTravel: My Favorite place I have been is daytona beach, Florida. I went there with my family on vacation. It was just so great because it was relaxing just to sit on the beach and swim. I also liked going to all the stores aroud there and buying cool things. The warm weather was great.
ReplyDeleteTravel: I went to Puerto Rico with my baseball team when I was 11. We went to the Willie Mays World Series in San Juan. We got destoyed because all the teams were from the Dominican Republic, Texas or Florida. Even though we got beat it was still a great experience.
ReplyDeleteMyrtle Beach: I went to Myrtle Beach with my grandma, grandpa, mom, step dad, step brother, uncle, aunt, and cousins. Last year when I went was really memorable because we spread my grandpa’s ashes because we went there every year. It was a really fun vacation because we went swimming, deep sea fishing, met new people.
ReplyDeleteTravel. My baseball team traveled to Cooperstown, New York the Field of Dreams. It was a fun expirience because every team got their own dorm to stay in the whole week. The teams there were really good, but my favorite part is trading pins. Every team created a pin designed with their logo to trade with other kids from other teams, my favorite one is Heliki O Hawaii.

Travel: I went to Kentucky with my family. We went to Mammoth Cave and took an underground tour. It was really weird to know that I was 300 feet under the surface. We also went to Diamond Caverns; the caverns had a lot more rock formations than Mammoth cave. We took a boat tour in Lost Cave. Our tour guide was named Ben. Ben was pretty sweet; He showed us some cool things like Sheep Butt Rock. He also explained what a stalagmite and stalactite touching was called. The answer is column or pillar, he said he likes to call it column though, because he sleeps on a pillar and he his pillar is softer than a rock. (Pillar = Pillow with southern accent.) He told us about cave fish and how they have no eyes. He asked what a fish was called with no eyes. My mom answered “blind?”. Ben says, “Nope, you gotta have eyes to be blind, them fish with no eyes is called Fsh.” (Get it? Fish – i = Fsh) I really enjoyed my trip to Kentucky.
ReplyDeleteI have visited Tennessee, where old family was. I went when I was real little with my Mom, god brother James, cousin Tori and my Aunt Georgia. I think it was special because that was the first and last time I saw my uncle, he crashed his motorcycle and died. So, Its special to me because it was a first and last memory. I haven’t been back there since. Plus the landscape was beautiful.

We stayed at a resort the was like a log cabin and had an indoor waterpark. we went horseback riding and tubing on the lake. it was a fun time and hpefully i could experience it again!

This past summer I auditioned and was accepted into a New York City – Broadway summer camp, ‘Destination Broadway.’ I had so much fun dancing and singing all day (even on my birthday). I was even able to get my birthday cake at the famous ‘CakeBoss’ Carlo’s Bakery!!!
ReplyDeleteEven though I had so much fun I do wish I had had the opportunity to go around NYC and to see all the tourist traps, but I was performing all day for the entire week. Thank goodness I get to go back with Varsity choir this school year so I can visit most of what I missed.
