We’ll be using this site for teacher-to-student communication as well as student-to-student communication. My goal is to do at least one blog post per week. Generally I will post on Monday and you have until Friday to complete the weekly blog by leaving a comment. Many of you may have your own personal blogs on MySpace or similar sites. For those of you who have never used a blog, this will give you some experience.
Before we get started we’ll have to set some ground rules.First of all, all postings to this site must use school appropriate language. When you post, write in complete sentences. Key your first initial and last name at the end of your post so I know who posted it (all posts are worth points). When commenting on another student’s post, keep your comments non-personal. You can agree or disagree with a comment but refrain from sarcasm and/or put-downs. State your position on the issue at hand and why you feel that way.

My name is Taylor Duslak. I’m 14 years old. I have 7 brothers and sisters, but I only live with 3 of them. Ray, Sydni, and Carter. Ray is the only actual real sibling that I have, the others are stepbrothers or sisters. I live with my mother and my stepdad. Every week my mother and I go golfing together, or with friends. I’m usually always with my friends. Either playing video games, messing around, or whatever else we do, we’re always having fun. I do enjoy golfing, playing badminton, volleyball, softball, and football is fun, too. I’m really an outdoor kind of person, so I go camping, hunting, fishing, or hiking all the time. No, I don’t usually blog, this is probably my second or third time doing it.

I am an elite competitive cheerleader and I run track. Some other things I like to do include swimming, horseback riding, dancing, and going to Michigan football games. Some places I’d like to visit include Great Britain, Paris, and Germany. My favorite holidays are Halloween and Christmas. I am usually a good student and one of my short term goals is to get all A’s all three trimesters this year. When I get out of high school I want to go the University of Michigan to study nursing. Shea is my real brother. On my spare time I like working on bikes and going camping at my campground. I am from Toledo. I lived there until I was in 6th grade then I moved to maumee and stayed there 6th to 9th grade.I like to mess around with people and make jokes a lot because im a funny person. ReplyDeleteWell, I'm 15, and a sophmore. This is the 3rd school I have gone to, and this is going to be my favorite, I think. I've always gone to really SMALL schools, which were boring. Everyone knew you, and everything that happened in your life. I guess it wasn’t that bad, but it just was not for me. I have a huge family, and they are pretty much amazing. My older brother and I are pretty close, but me and my sister fight like there is no tomorrow. I have 3 dogs: a weiner dog, a collie, and a boxer-collie-sharpay mix. I had another, but he ran away over the summer and we never found him. ): I have really sweet friends. They are all crazy and I love it. I enjoy going to parties, and having them. I love to go camping, having bonfires, staying up all night, and stuff like that. I’m always at the mall during the winters months because there’s like nothing else to do. Hi, I’m Kandice LaRou, I will be fifteen on December 15th. I have one older brother and he is a sophomore. Volleyball, softball, and water skiing are some of the sports I like to do to pass time. My favorite subject is French because, learning how to speak a different language is something that has always interested me. Hi, my name is Olivia Villarreal, I am fourteen years old and beginning my freshman year at Bedford Senior High School. I am the oldest of two children, my younger brother, Evan is twelve. We don’t have any pets, unfortunately- my mother doesn’t like animals very much. I, on the other hand, love them- thus the reason I am a vegetarian. I have been dancing for eleven years. When I have the time, I practice playing six different instruments (not at the same time), including: cello, violin, double bass, bass guitar, and more recently- saxophone and flute. I hope to attend Michigan State University, which is where I spend most weekends during football season with my dad. I plan to attend their medical school and become a toxicologist. Like any other kid, I enjoy hanging out with my friends. And yes, I have had to blog before, over the summer for Ms. Walasinski’s Honor’s English.

My name is Alexes Emahiser. I have a brother and a sister. My brother is 25, my sister is 29, and I am 16. My sister died when she was 19 in a car crash. I grew up in Toledo but when I was in 7th grade I moved to Naples, Florida and lived there for 4 years. I just moved to Michigan last week. I enjoy going to the beach, pool, camping, going out on the boat, and hanging out with my friends. I have two best friends; Justin and Tiffani. They both live in Florida though. I can drive but I don’t have my license yet. I live with my mom and my dog named Sophie. I turn 17 on May 25. I have never blogged before so this is my first time!
ReplyDeleteMy full name is Morgan Taylor Foster. I have a sister, named Peyton, who is in 7th grade. I also have two brothers, Noah and Caden, who are in 4th and 2nd grade. I live with my mom and my dad, who both were Bedford graduates. My friends mean a lot to me because they are the ones who get me through each day. I have swum on Brookwood swim team in the summer for the past 4 or 5 years, but this year I will be swimming for Bedford High School. Softball is what I love to do the most in life. I recently made the Sylvania Sharks 14u travel team in Sylvania. I plan to go to Ohio State College and study Sports Medicine and hopefully play softball there. I enjoy spending holidays with my family; I’d have to say Easter is my favorite because it’s always right around my birthday! I believe that with hard work and giving 110% you can go wherever you want in life. I do have a hero, Chelsey Labadie, my 7th and 8th grade softball coach. She means a lot to me and I look up to her a great amount. I have never blogged before but I do think I’ll enjoy it.

I have two siblings, Brittany is ten years old and Justin is 7 years old and they both go to Douglas road elementry. I enjoy hanging with my friends and my family. Yes, at one point I did blog but not so much anymore.
I am Jack Nachtrab and I am 14 years old. I play baseball and basketball. I have a mom, a dad, and a sister in seventh grade. I have no pets. I am playing fall baseball right now in a JV league. Baseball is my favorite sport and I play it pretty much year round. I have lots of friends that I met on sports teams. Bedford is my third school and my favorite one. I think that I will like high school once I get used to the building I was new last year at Bedford. In the summer I like to go to Cedar Point, go to my cottage, hang out with friends and play video games. I also go to Chicago every summer and stay with my uncle. ReplyDeleteI am one of the only seniors in your 2nd hour class =-( I feel very much outnumbered as I am surrounded by freshman. Haha. My best friend is Breanna Davis; we spend so much time together. This past August we watched the entire Saw series! It was awesome!!! It’s a little sad though because we have been in the same school together since 7th grade and we have NEVER had a single class together. Oh well…
ReplyDeleteCurrently I am a dance instructor at Peg Harris Dance Studio in Monroe, and I am loving it. This year I have to teach baby classes (I call them my peanuts because they are 3-6 years old), which is a change for me. I don’t think I’m going to like it as much as teaching elementary dancers because of the peanuts (the toddlers) short attention spans. But I guess I’ll see as the year goes on…

The thing I love most is playing sports. Most of my friends come from the sports i play like baseball, basketball and football. I have played on a soccer team for Bedford since I was about 7 years old. Also I enjoy hanging out with my friends and talking to them on my phone, either texting or calling them. Assuming these CAN be produced, what technical difficulties will need to be overcome (i.e miniturization, motors, power supply, control systems?) How long until these are flying?
I believe that the MAV’s are real, but it would be very difficult to produce. You would have to put some very small technology into it. And you’d have to make sure everything was perfect so it wouldn’t accidentally injure somebody, unless you were making a bomb.
2) Who will benefit from this technology?
The Army, Police, FBI, or the CSI could benefit from this technology.
3) How could you protect yourself from having one of these were watching you?
I don’t think that there is a way to protect yourself from having them watch you. Their either small, or disguised as something else, you wouldn’t notice it or think anything of it.
4) Discuss Privacy issues and ethics of development? Can it be kept in military or law enforcement hands? If not, should it be developed at all knowing how it could be misused?
It could possibly stay in Military or the law enforcement hands, but people could steal it. They could destroy people’s lives, or hurt them.

Only the Government, Army, Air force, etc. Or FBI Agencies, CSI, the police. Not in the hands of just any person.

Hi, my name is Hunter and I enjoy working out and hanging out with my friends. I play three sports basketball football and baseball, I enjoy basketball the most I practice at least 3 hours a day. I also enjoy school I love learning new things and achieving good grades in every class. My goal this year and thought high school is to get at least a 4.0 grade point average. I have very high expectations for myself because I like to set high goals.

It’s so enjoyable for a job you get to control the game and also watch an exciting game of baseball while you’re doing it. Well my name is Dustyn Durbin and well i like my family a lot they are really nice and it's great to have a step dad since i don't see my real dad anymore. i have a wonderful mom she is really nice and always there for me. I now have 3 brothers scott alex and nikolas scott is 12 but he autistic so he doesnt go to the junior high nikolas is 11 he does go to the junior high 7th grade and alex in 9 and he is in third grade at douglas road. Then there is shayla she is 7 and she is in 2nd grade at douglas road. Then we have 2 little new siberian husky puppies they have russian names vasilly the boy and sorscha the girl.
